Fantasy Sports & Sports Betting Sites

Our Starting Five Favorite Sports Websites

We scoured the internet looking for the best websites for sports. Our goal was to find sites that provided a variety of information, covered multiple sports, plus rated high marks for usability. We suppose we could have targeted any of sites, but we chose to narrow down our search.

We used a basketball comparison and funneled our list down to a starting five. Each of our five sites scored points for accuracy and range of content. The website needed to look good on the outside and function properly on the inside.

Like many sports fans, we also searched for sports websites that addressed fantasy contests and the new age of sports betting. While these weren’t vital, since each of these fan interests are so big, a good website will have content covering these two things. Here’s our starting five favorite websites that we deemed worthy to being on the court for tip-off.

Rotoworld

The first website we inked on our lineup card is Rotoworld. Fantasy sports enthusiasts will know the site better than casual sports’ fans. However, the site is full of engaging sports news and data beyond stuff fantasy team owners use to dominate their leagues.

Rotoworld produces some of the most extensive player news reports. Every successful fantasy team owner has probably tabbed back and forth to the player injury page to stay abreast of player reports.

There are also links to team reports, depth charts and headlines. Most of the quick player reports on fantasy sports websites mirror what’s on Rotoworld. You can indulge yourself with information on all the major sports, plus golf, NASCAR and Premier League soccer.

There are premium subscriptions available, plus you can register for a free account that offers various updates. Rotoworld also has a betting site with live odds. Combining all the features and importance of the information, Rotoworld makes our starting five.

DailyFantasyCafe.com

While other sports sites supply with a healthy diet of player news and injury reports, the DailyFantasyCafe.com zooms in on all-things fantasy sports. It was one of the leading sports websites for daily fantasy sports advice and lineup suggestions.

You can take advantage of a nice selection of free content, or dig deeply into the fantasy sports players’ mindset with a premium subscription. The DailyFantasyCafe.com has also been a leading source of information for sports bettors. The top menu has quick drop-down menus for each of the top three DFS sites.

You can explore specific lineup building strategies for DraftKings, FanDuel and others. The DailyFantasyCafe.com has thorough information on sports betting apps. They offer authentic reviews of the major sportsbooks and sportsbook apps.

In addition, you can scan a complete list of promo codes to get the biggest bang for your buck if you’re in a one of the legal sports betting states. For your diet of fantasy and sports betting news, the DailyFantasyCafe.com is like getting a full-course meal supplied with all your essential food groups from one site.

Bleacher Report

While we weren’t quite as impressed by the design layout of such a popular website, the Bleacher Report is not lacking for quality content. They have one of the more diverse menu bars, targeting some of the more obscure sports such as MMA and boxing.

Bleacher Report didn’t waste any space across their header on flashy logos or advertisements. The entire half-inch top border is full of white menu links parked on a black background. The design makes it easy to navigate to a particular sport or feature content.

They have an excellent selection of contributors for each major sport. There are some out-of-the-ordinary types of opinion and assessment pieces you won’t find on other sports websites. Bleacher Report has an excellent reputation for in depth reporting that is accurate.

You can also follow games using BR Live. There is a library of shows and podcasts, plus a link to gaming news and updates. Bleacher Report is a heavyweight for sports websites and a solid member of our starting five.

WalterFootball.com

Our next member of the first five might confuse those who haven’t visited the site. WalterFootball.com limits what someone might expect for content. It might appear to be a website dedicated only to football.

However, while WalterFootball.com has a wealth of football content, you can also scour in depth analysis for the NBA and MLB. What we love about WalterFootball.com is the lack of frills. There aren’t going to be a bunch of pages filled with fluff.

  1. Walterfootball.com targets team information, with a heavy focus on draft analysis, especially mock draft predictions. They cover up-and-coming prospects, keep you up-to-speed on the rumor mill, plus provide a weekly update on the league and player power rankings.

While football is clearly the focus, the information provided about NBA and MLB fantasy prospects is also a team owner must-see. Although WalterFootball.com isn’t full of sports diversity, the clean layout and dedication to detailed player and fantasy analysis earns it a spot on our top five.

Lineups.com

Our last member of the starting five best sports websites is another heavily targeted at sports bettors and fantasy players. Lineups.com is where the sports data meets up with science. They are highly respected producers of proven lineup analysis backed by science-driven data.

Lineups.com targets the big three professional sports. They don’t waste anything on detail. You can absorb a wealth of information on teams and players in the NBA, NFL and MLB. The website has informative podcasts ahead of deadlines to set important fantasy lineups.

Their experts produce one of the most detailed fantasy player forecasts. If you don’t employ Lineups.com as an important fantasy tool, you’re losing out on material that could make or break your season or DFS chances. Lineups.com has also included extremely helpful sports betting data.

They keep you up-to-date with current odds on both the FanDuel and DraftKings sportsbooks. The website digs deeper into the intricate nuances of each sport to give you a data driven edge over your opponents. Lineups.com is like the point guard of our starting five, dishing out assists to fantasy players to help them score big.

These are our five favorite sports websites. We picked the best five we think would be worthy of being a game-ready starting unit. Blend them together to quench your daily thirst for all-things sports.

You can subscribe for free information, or register for premium accounts. One thing for sure, if you don’t get in the game, you can’t win. These sites are all winners, and they’ll give you a winner’s edge in your sports knowledge.
