It’s very popular across Asia, but has grown in popularity in other countries such as the United States over the last 20 years.
It grew more widespread when it became an official Olympic sport at the 1964 games in Tokyo. Judo is a competitive sport that offers outstanding fitness benefits for anyone who practices the art. As with many other sports, there is a lot of information available on the internet.

USA Judo
This is one of the most all-inclusive Judo websites we uncovered. While it targets Judo in the United States primarily, it has a vast amount of worldwide information. You can find upcoming events, check out previous Judo competition results, plus follow national championships.
The menu bar is full of detailed pages to explore. There are direct links to pages for coaches, athletes and referees. One thing we found extremely useful on USA Judo was a link to forms. Judo clubs, teams and coaches can find all the necessary legal forms to open a Judo facility.
United States Judo Federation
Our second favorite Judo website is another that keys in on Judo in North America. It’s not quite as strong on variety of information as USA Judo, but it has a healthy supply of helpful links.
The United States Judo Federation has clearly marked option to become a member. There are videos from competitions that are excellent instructional tools. Another important thing the website stresses is how to get involved in youth Judo opportunities.
Kodokan Judo Institute
The next website isn’t strong on colorfulness, but it has possibly the strongest roots in authentic Judo philosophy. Kodokan Judo Institute is a specific Judo training facility, the Kodokan. The institute is the esteemed headquarters of the worldwide Judo community.
It is located in an eight-story building in Tokyo. The Kodokan Judo Institute website focuses more on the teachings and techniques of Judo. There are a number of excellent pages to help someone just starting out, or an aspiring Judo Sensei looking for teaching guidance.
JudoKaFighter
The color scheme and layout on JudoKaFighter is somewhat lacking, but the content about Judo is not. There is an enormous amount of instructional material to help with teaching techniques and competitive Judo training.
